Rinmaru

       Rin gulped, her reflection showing her what she had been trying to deny for what seemed like a long while now. Her belly had swollen outward; not extremely noticeably, but upon closer inspection her belly button had without a doubt gotten more shallow and there was a definite curve to her midsection. She looked at her breasts as well, noticing they seemed fuller. She sighed to herself. This should have been a happy moment for a woman her age. She was carrying the offspring of the man she loved more than anything. But she didn't know how he would react.
       It had been a few months since that night Sesshomaru walked into her sleeping chamber and done what she had always dreamed of. But he hadn't spoken of the incident since then. She thought that maybe her dream had come true, maybe he felt the same way about her that she did about him. But now she didn't know where they stood. There was going to have to be a conversation between them now. They would have to acknowledge what happened between them.
       Slowly tying her kimono back together, Rin was thankful that her clothing was loose fitting enough to hide her form for a while longer. She sunk down to the ground and thought about what she was going to do. Before she could come up with a good idea, she found herself crying and hugging her knees to her chest, her body leaning heavily against her mirror. It had only been a short while of her hot tears running down her face before she felt a presence behind her. She turned and looked up behind her, seeing the one man who she was fearing seeing with every fiber in her body, yet at the same time, he was also the one she wanted to be with her in this moment of need more than anyone else.
       Sesshomaru was standing there, drawn in by the scent of Rin's tears. He knelt down and lifted her, scooping her up in his strong arms with extreme ease even now that she was no longer the child she once was. He gently placed her down on the edge of her bed and sat down next to her. He looked at her red crying face for a few moments before slowly opening his mouth. "Why are you crying?" She responded by only crying harder. He sat patiently as she found the strength to sob out, "Because ... Because you... You.. You are going to be angry with me! You are.. Are going to send me away!" she sobbed, falling over to lean against him and cry into his strong chest.
       A look of anger crossed his brow. "Who told you this? Jaken?" He asked angrily, thinking that imp was filling her head with lies again. He wouldn't be able to punish the imp for a long while, he had sent his minion off to do a few things for him. He probably wouldn't return for nearly a year. "N- n-- No." she shook her head. His anger faded, now confused. He gently sat her back up to sitting up straight on the bed to face him. He gazed into her eyes for a moment, his full of concern and hers red, puffy, and still leaking fluid. "What happened?" he asked as gently as he could. Rin took a moment to steady herself before she simply stood up before him. Untying her kimono, she revealed her stomach to him.
Sesshomaru watched, slightly confused, as Rin stood before him and began undressing. As her kimono fell to the ground and she was left in only underwear his eyes traveled up her body, assuming she was about to reveal an injury. As she slowly turned he saw it. He saw what she had been worrying about, what she had been so terrified of him finding out. The slight rounding of her stomach on her thin frame. His mind instantly went back to that night. The night when, even he, the great and all powerful Lord Sesshomaru, could not contain himself any longer. He stood and pulled her against him, placing one hand on her stomach. She looked up into his golden amber eyes, fear slowly being replaced with surprise. Looking down at her face, her let a smile cross his lips for the first time in quite a while. "Why were you so afraid to tell me this?" He asked her. "I.. I thought you would be unhappy with me.. I didn't think you felt the same way about me that... I do about you." She let her face fall once again, her chin nearly hitting her chest. He lifted her chin with a finger. "You silly girl." He chuckled and placed a kiss atop her head.
       Rin was astonished as she felt his lips press to the top of her head. She could feel the fear and shame vanishing from her mind and her face. She looked up at him with her big beautiful brown eyes. They were still sparkling with leftover tears that he gently wiped from her face. "You should not fear me, Rin. Out of anyone that has ever been, you are the only one who should not fear me." He knelt down, and even though she was no longer the child she had been when they had first met, he still was just about at even eye level with her. "You are to remain by my side always. I will not tolerate any straying, do you hear me? I must protect you even more so now. All will know that to touch one hair on your head means death." Rin smiled at him, she knew this was his way of telling him how much he cared for her. Sesshomaru stood, grabbing her discarded kimono as he did so. He placed it back on her shoulders. "Now cover back up, no one is allowed to see that much of you." He turned to leave the room. "Except for me." He added as he walked away.
       Time was passing normally, it had been two months since Rin had shared her news with Sesshomaru. She was noticing that as time passed and her stomach gently swelled, he seemed to be getting more and more gentle and loving with her. She slept in his bed with him now, they always faced each other and usually with him holding her close and touching her stomach. He had slowed down his walking speed so that he was only a half a step ahead of her if they ever went anywhere, although that had been greatly reduced. She was definitely coming along, but in her loose fitting clothing it was still possible to conceal their news from any passersby. Which they definitely did whenever they did venture out.
       One day, Rin was washing up when she stepped out of the tub and caught her reflection. "Eeeee!" she squealed loudly. Instantly Sesshomaru was there, "What's wrong?" He asked, concerned. She slowly turned around and his eyes traveled down her body. They stopped right in the center of her stomach. Right there in the middle of her swollen belly was something strange. He stepped closer to get a better look. It looked as if her skin had changed color, lightening dramatically to a pale white. An inhuman color white. He gently placed his hand upon it and found it felt normal, it was just pale next to her naturally tanner skin. "What is wrong with me?!" She squealed once more. "We are going to find out. We need to go see a couple people... Neither of which I want to visit. But if the first can help us, we won't need the second." he said cryptically and left the chamber to gather his things.
       Rin dressed quickly and in one of her loosest kimonos. Her stomach was draped behind the fabric and looking at her reflection from all angles, she was pleased that there were no signs of the life growing within her. She walked out of the bathroom and quickly found Sesshomaru, his swords strapped to his side and dressed fully in his armor, he hadn't been wearing all of it as of lately but he did put it back on whenever they went anywhere. "Are you ready?" He asked. "Yes my Lord." She smiled and stood next to him. He gazed at her gently. "You aren't required to call me that any more, you know." He commented quietly. "I know, I just like to sometimes." She grinned as they headed out the door. The two of them began walking slowly towards their destination. She was unsure where they were headed, but she always had full confidence in Sesshomaru.
       Kagome suddenly shuddered and turned to Inuyasha. "Whats wrong Kagome?" Inuyasha asked, suddenly tense. "Demon approaching the village... Wait. Not just any demon. Its Sesshomaru!" She explained, feeling the powerful aura heading closer. The two of them left the hut and ran outside. Sure enough, Sesshomaru walked up confidently with Rin in tow. "What are you doing here, Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha asked angrily. Sesshomaru ignored his brother. "Priestess." He said simply to Kagome. "Me?" she was shocked, Sesshomaru hadn't spoken to her directly before. "We require your assistance." He stated. Rin stepped up a little bit. "Please, if you wouldn't mind. Could we... maybe go indoors?" Rin asked sweetly. Kagome was still in shock, but nodded and led them back to their hut. Much to the half demon's dismay.
       "Ok, what do you want?" Inuyasha asked once they were inside and in private. Sesshomaru looked to Rin. "Ok... Well... Here goes." Rin blushed and began untying her kimono. She had on pants and a more close fitting top underneath. Kagome's eyes nearly bugged out of her head when she saw Rin's five month pregnant belly. "You... You two..." She stammered. "It was... a surprise for everyone really. But that isn't what we need help with. It's this." Rin explained as she lifted the top and showed the priestess her strange skin. "Do you know whats happening to me?" Inuyasha chose this moment to look up and see what everyone was staring at. "What?! She's pregnant?! Sesshomaru, tell me its not yours. Come on, you hate humans!" Inuyasha was appalled. "Mind your own business, mine is none of your concern." Sesshomaru seethed from between his teeth. "Feh." Inuyasha huffed and went back to looking out the door. Kagome was running her hands over the strange patch of skin. She pulled her hands away after a few moments and Rin pulled her shirt back down, covering herself. She had begun tying her kimono when Kagome finally spoke. "I don't know anything about your skin or why it has changed, but I can tell you one thing. Your aura... its changing. I'm not sure if its just demon aura from within you, or its actually yours, but... It's definitely different." Rin nodded, still confused. Both women turned to look at Sesshomaru who had begun to walk outside. Rin quickly smiled and turned to Inuyasha and Kagome. "Thank you so much for the help!" She turned and quickly followed after her mate. The half demon and the priestess shared a confused look.
       Sesshomaru could also see that Rin's aura was not the same as it had been. He had the ability to sense human's auras as well as demons, while Kagome could only sense the latter. Rin's aura had always been bright pink and very happy. But something was dulling it, he could see some thing dark was changing it. Something that was very reminiscent of himself. As Sesshomaru strolled on, lost in his thoughts, he had begun walking at his normal speed. A speed at which a normal Rin had trouble keeping up with, let alone a pregnant one. In her attempt to not fall behind, she tripped and began to fall, nearly hitting the ground before she found herself in his arms once more. "I'm sorry!" She hurriedly said. Sesshomaru's eyes lowered sadly. "No... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been walking so fast." He admitted slowly. Rin was surprised, he had never been apologetic before. "You don't have to worry about me so much, my Lord." She smiled and hugged his arm tight. He was surprised a moment before he placed his other arm on her back and pulled her in close. "Yes I do, you are mine. I will protect you beyond the end of all the realms." He pulled away, seeing the blush in her cheeks.
       He backed up from her and transformed into his full demon form. He put out his enormous paw and she climbed into it. Very carefully, he pulled her close against him, making sure not to squeeze her too tightly, but also ensuring she couldn't slip from his grasp. He took off into the clouds, soaring through them toward his destination. It wasn't long before Rin felt Sesshomaru begin to descend, at his great speed they hadn't had to spend much time in the air.
       They landed softly on the ground him transforming back into his humanoid form and gently letting her down to stand behind him. Turning around he saw the person he really didn't want to see. "Well well well. To what do I owe this visit? Twice in the same decade? What a treat." The female demon smirked at him. "Mother." He said harshly. "Oh I see you still have that human girl with you. Interesting, I swear you are more and more like your father in the strangest of ways...." She said as she laughed at him. His eyes narrowed angrily. "Rin." He said quietly. Rin nodded and stepped forward. "Umm... Miss Sesshomaru's mom? We need your help." Rin said as she stepped forward. "Oh? We?" Her eyebrow raised. "Yes... Sesshomaru brought me here because he thinks you might be able to assist us with... something concerning." She began explaining. "Well get on with it then. What is the problem you had to come all the way out here to get your dear mother to fix for you?" She mocked him slightly. "Umm... Well...." Rin began as she swiftly untied her kimono and opened it, showing her belly to the woman sitting before them.
       The great demoness's eyes widened a moment as she realized what had happened. "Sesshomaru. You really are just like your father. Ugh. Come forward girl." She spoke directly and Rin walked right up to her. The demon placed her hands on her belly for a moment, noticing the bright white skin in the center. "Sesshomaru... its gotten bigger." Rin said quietly, looking down at white patch. His mother pulled her hands away from the young woman's swollen belly and looked up at Sesshomaru. "I can't believe you would do this to our family. Our perfect blood line and you go and do this." She continued to mock him. "What is happening to her." He spoke directly, not sounding at all like a question. "Well, your strong blood is refusing to be tainted." She spoke, her tone bored like it was an obvious diagnosis. "What?" Rin asked, concerned. "Girl, you are a human. His blood and his offspring are so much stronger than you, they are changing you so will survive the pregnancy." She explained. "What will become of her?" He asked, a little less anger in his voice. "Well, assuming her body accepts the change, she will become a demon." She explained.
       "Why did this happen? It didn't happen to Inuyasha's mother." Rin was worried. "It isn't his father's lineage that is doing this, its what he inherited from me." she shrugged. "What happens if my body doesn't accept it?" Rin asked, afraid. "If the pups are too powerful for you to handle with your human body, you probably won't survive the birth. They have already began changing your insides, so the pregnancy will be fine." She gestured to the whitening on her stomach. "This is demon skin, its the same as mine or his. It shows that you have already changed all the way through in this area within you. You just have to wait and see if you finish your transformation before its time to birth your pups." She reached into her sleeve and pulled out a necklace. It was a simple cord with a pendant of a moon on it. "Here, I wouldn't do this for a human, but given the situation between you and my son, I suppose I could try to help." She slipped the necklace around Rin's neck. It glowed blue for a moment, before settling back down. "Its the symbol of protection of our family. It could give your body more of what it needs to complete its transformation in time. It will activate to the correct stimulus, but its different to the wearer. So you'll have to discover that on your own. But pay attention to it." Rin smiled to her as she explained. "Thank you very much."
       They were turning to leave as his mother called to him, "I'm surprised at you Sesshomaru. Maybe there is more to you than what I thought. And don't think I won't drop in to see my grandchildren." Rin grinned a little to herself and they took off into the sky. As scary as it all was, Rin was kind of excited. If she could survive this, she could be a demon like Sesshomaru. She could live for centuries rather than only decades. She could be with him and they could be a real family. She was smiling and placed her hand on her stomach as they flew, so excited about what could happen.
       They arrived back home and she turned to Sesshomaru, her usual smile bright on her face. His face was more grim, most people probably wouldn't be able to see it, but she could tell the difference in his expression better than anyone. "Whats wrong, my Lord?" her happiness beginning to wane. He looked down into her eyes before pulling her close against him and resting his chin on the top of her head. "My Lo.... Umm... Sesshomaru?" She asked quietly. "Rin... I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." He let go of her and knelt down in front of her. "Sessh... You don't need to be sorry. I'm so happy, everything thats happening, i'm happy." She placed her hands on either side of his face, gazing into his eyes. "I can't lose you... Nothing has ever been worth the loss of your life." He sounded somewhat defeated. She reached down and grabbed his hand, pulling it to rest on her stomach. "This is different. I'm willing to do whatever it takes. Either I become a demon and I get to be with you for longer than I ever would have been before, or I don't make it, but I was able to bear children for the man I love. I was able to be your mate, which is what i've wanted for a very long time." She smiled sweetly down at him and after blushing slightly, she slowly leaned forward and planted a kiss on his forehead.
       As soon as her lips touched the moon on his forehead, the pendant hanging from her neck glowed bright for a moment. As she pulled away, Sesshomaru saw that her lips had paled to the demon skin color, just like her belly. His eyes widened, and he quickly grabbed her hand and brought it to his forehead to touch the symbol once more. Once again, her pendant glowed blue as she came in contact with his marking. Pulling her hand away, her fingertips that had pressed to his face were also pale. "What is it?" Rin was confused as he let go of her hand. "Look." Glancing down at her fingers, she saw that they were pale. "Whoa..." "I think the pendant reacts to my symbol, your lips are white as well." He told her. "Really?" She looked over at her mirror, and she did indeed look like she was wearing white lipstick. Sesshomaru studied her as she looked at herself in the mirror for a moment. The more of her skin changed to the same color as his, he could see her aura becoming more demonic. It was working.
       Sesshomaru was much more calm now, knowing that he could help her finish her transformation much more quickly if she wasn't progressing enough. But he decided that until she was closer to her due date and it was actually very necessary, he wasn't about to stop and try and rub his forehead all over her. He did have a theory that the longer she would remain in contact with his symbol, the more of her would begin to change. They had begun sleeping a bit differently than before, still facing one another but instead of her laying her head upon him, he nestled his head under hers and slept with his symbol directly over her heart.
       Another month had passed and Rin had become quite patchy in places, it was obvious that both her mate and the pups were trying to help her become a demon, but her body could only change so fast. It seemed that from within she was changing from her stomach and down, while from Sesshomaru it was spreading outward from her heart. She was starting to feel very self conscious about her appearance, her face was about half done, her arms were very patchy, same with her legs. Her entire torso was done, just her limbs and head still really needed to finish.
       She had begun finally really showing, her sixth month bringing on a serious growth spurt, there was no more hiding that she was expecting. Her belly had swollen up, looking like she had swallowed a watermelon. She was sitting by herself in the living room, relaxing and resting when she suddenly squealed. And like always, Sesshomaru was instantly at her side with a look of concern. Rin saw him and smiled up at him, pulling apart her kimono to reveal her swollen stomach. Grabbing his hand, she pulled it to rest on her middle so he could feel the movement within. A smile once again crossed his face as he knelt down to feel his children with both hands. He hadn't really been thinking about the fact that he was going to be a father, his concern had been completely about Rin's safety and well-being. All of his concerns had so overwhelmingly taken over his thoughts that he hadn't even been thinking about why this was all happening, or what was going to be the result of it. But suddenly it really hit him what was going on, that within his mate's womb were his children. His pups, his family. He, Lord Sesshomaru, who was regularly referred to as cold-hearted, cruel, murderous and several other terrible things, was going to be a Dad. Rin watched with wonder as Sesshomaru explored her belly with his hands and with his eyes. She could see his mind racing, she was finally sure he wasn't just thinking about her but the importance that was their family. She was so happy that he finally understood what she found to be so important. He suddenly spoke, pulling her from her thoughts. "Three." he said softly. Her eyes widened. "Three?" "Three pups.... Our three pups." His mouth had curled into a smile. "How can you tell?" she asked, in awe of her mate's many abilities. "Their auras... There are three. Strong too." He looked up at her, actually genuinely happy. "Strong like their father." She added, grinning from ear to ear.
       It was a little over a week later, when Rin woke up and looked in the mirror to see that over night she had reached a huge milestone. Her entire face had finally fully transformed. Her skin had fully gone pale, she even had the stripes on her cheeks. She only had one per cheek instead of two like Sesshomaru. Her eyes had also turned golden amber like his. She didn't notice it as quickly, being so distracted by her eyes, but after a moment she saw that her hair had gone from brown to pitch black and was now long down to her calves. Seeing her new face, she was so happy. There were still months left in her pregnancy and she was almost completely a demon. The life she always dreamed of was ahead of her.
       Sesshomaru walked into the room, looking her over. "What do you think?" She did a twirl for him as he walked into the room. As he walked toward her, she noticed something else. Usually he towered over her, standing over a foot taller than her. Now he was only around six inches taller. "You look beautiful. As you always have." he kissed her passionately on the lips. When he pulled away, she was blushing. "Th- Thank you." she stammered, embarrassed. He chuckled at her bright red cheeks. "Really? You are my mate, you are carrying my pups, but if I kiss you, you are embarrassed?" She responded by only blushing more. Still chuckling, he knelt before her and pulled her kimono open. "How are the pups today?" he asked as he pressed an ear to her stomach. "I think they are still sleeping, I haven't felt anything too active yet today." she responded, running a hand across her belly. "Their hearts are strong." he added as he stood back up and pulled her in for a hug. In his warm embrace, she felt safe and happy, she felt complete.
       When they pulled away she looked up at him, his face had lightened up so much, he seemed happy and approachable. "Sessh?" She asked, gently. "Yes, Rin?" "Are you... are you happy?" her tone was a bit confused. "Why wouldn't I be? My mate, my pups... everything." He continued to smile. "It's just... none of this would have happened if it weren't for me.. I just wanted to make sure you don't feel like you have to change for me.. or because of me." She had realized that he was really nothing like he had been, not his cool and aloof usual self. "Rin..." He led her over to their bed and sat down with her on the edge. "I will always be the demon you met so many years ago in that clearing with a horrible outlook and one arm. Sure, I got my arm back. Sure, I am now... capable of caring about another living being. And that being is you. But you are the only one who will know that. You are the only one that matters to me. Soon, it will only be you and our pups. But everyone else, they will never know me as you do. They will never understand why you stay with me or why you would bear my children. To the world, I will always be that cruel, heartless monster. Like I said months ago, " he paused for a moment to gently place his hands on her belly. "When you told me about how our lives would be changing forever, I told you. You are the only one who should not fear me. Only you. And soon, only my family." He looked into her eyes for a long moment, letting his words completely set in. Rin leaned against him once again and closed her eyes with a huge smile on her face. She had never felt happier.
       It had been about three months and a lot of changes had been happening for Rin. As far as her transformation had gone, she seemed to be completely done and fully a demon. She had her claws, her arms had gained the stripes like her cheeks, she had even sprouted a large fluffy tail like Sesshomaru had. Her's was black instead of white like his, but she still greatly enjoyed that she had one. And as far as her pregnancy was concerned, it was obvious from all angles and even from a great distance. She easily looked overdue, her belly hanging low and looking like she was smuggling a beachball filled with something heavy under her kimono. Her breasts had also definitely been filling up with milk, her usually modest bust now looking gargantuan on her slim frame. She had been worried for a moment, her knowledge of how dogs nursed their young had worried her slightly. Luckily, she hadn't seemed to sprout any extra teats, so she sighed in relief that dog demons were different enough.
       Sesshomaru was extremely protective over her now, now that she was so very close to the children coming. It was a little bit funny, that the further she was getting into her pregnancy the stronger she was getting. The more time she spent fully turning into a demon, the stronger her entire body was becoming. But even still, the larger her belly swelled, the less Sesshomaru let her do anything on her own. He carried her between the bed and the comfiest chair in the living room. Jaken had returned just a couple weeks before, his jaw dropping to the floor when he saw the enormously pregnant dog demon sitting in Sesshomaru's main room. The imp just about fainted when he realized the demon was Rin and he learned the entire story. Since then he had been waiting on Rin just about hand and foot, at Sesshomaru's command. He brought her food, things to read, or her sewing materials; she had recently begun working on a project of making little clothes and stuffed toys during her time when she wasn't moving anywhere.
       Early one afternoon, Rin was sitting in her usual living room seat, finishing up a little stuffed puppy doll. She suddenly felt something very low in belly that she hadn't felt before. It was tense and painful. "Urgh.." She made a small noise as the wave of pain passed. Just like always, Sesshomaru was there instantly. "Rin?" He asked, alarmed. "Sesshomaru..." She began, looking up at him. She felt the pain come up, a little stronger this time. "I think... I think they are coming." She told him, a smile crossing her face between her grimaces from the pain. A smile crossed his face, he was going to meet his pups. "Can.. Can you get someone to deliver them?" She suddenly asked, realizing that this was not something Sesshomaru or Jaken would know how to do. His face suddenly faded back to emotionless. After a moment he commented, ".....The priestess?" She could see how much he didn't want to go see his brother. "I'm sorry love... Kagome would be the easiest, she's the closest.. And she's a priestess that doesn't hate demons. Take Jaken, he will talk to them for you." She tried to make this as easy as she could for him. "No. You are not to be alone." He stated simply. "Sessh. I will be fine, you are so fast and they aren't far. Just take him so he can explain and convince them to come back here. I'll be fine..." Another contraction hit her, this one more severe. As it passed she looked up at him, her eyes turning to that infamous demonic red for a moment. "Go." He immediately turned, grabbed Jaken by the back of the shirt and ran top speed out of the house.
       Inuyasha and Kagome were outside their house this time. They both looked up at the same time, Sesshomaru's scent and aura approaching rapidly. He stopped just before them and dropped Jaken to the ground. "What do you want now, Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha spat. The imp stood and dusted himself off. "Please come quickly! We require your help, Priestess!" Jaken explained quickly. "What's wrong?" Kagome stepped forward. "It's Rin, she needs your help!" he was getting anxious. Sesshomaru stood there motionless as they spoke. "The pregnancy... Inuyasha, we have to go see if she's ok." Kagome turned to the half demon. He rolled his eyes. "Fine." Inuyasha picked Kagome up and had her on his back and turned to his older brother. They both narrowed their eyes in disdain. Sesshomaru picked Jaken up once more. "Keep up." He took off and Inuyasha followed after him.
       They arrived back to the house quickly, Rin still sitting in her chair, recovering from another contraction. "She's a demon!" Inuyasha exclaimed as he let Kagome down to rush to the laboring woman. "Thank you for coming, Kagome." She panted out, sweat beads forming on her forehead. "We need to lay her down, the baby is coming!" The priestess exclaimed to Sesshomaru. He instantly scooped her up and carried her to the bed room as they followed behind him. Sesshomaru laid her down on their bed and stepped to stand behind her as Kagome began undoing the female demon's kimono. Inuyasha was sitting on the floor just outside the door to the bedroom, facing the opposite wall. As Kagome was focusing on Rin and Rin had her eyes clenched shut, Sesshomaru noticed something. Her pendant, the crescent moon, was glowing red. "Wait." He suddenly spoke, causing the two women to look up at him. He reached out and removed the necklace from her neck. It glowed dimmer as he moved it further from her. He stepped down to her feet and held it aloft over her and slowly moved it up her body, watching as the pendant began to slowly brighten as it moved higher up her body. It kept brightening and brightening as it traveled up, glowing its brightest directly over her forehead. He swiftly knelt and pressed his forehead to hers, leaving it there until the necklace turned purple for a moment before it stopped glowing completely.
       He stood back up straight and looked down at her, in the center of her forehead there was a little yellow sun exactly like his blue crescent moon. He could see her demonic aura, it had completely transformed from a human's aura. He was disheartened for a moment that he had taken that from her, but he could see that even thought it was demonic now, the bright pink happy glow had not gotten any weaker. She was still his Rin. "You are complete." He placed a hand atop her head. She smiled, knowing she was now fully transformed. They turned back to Kagome, who was quite confused. "Later.." Rin managed to speak before her next contraction. The priestess nodded and went back to finishing up removing Rin's kimono. As she did she was able to assess how far along she was progressing. "You are doing great Rin, a lot of progress. Just keep hanging in there." She nodded and kept laying there as the contractions continued to get closer and closer.
       It was over an hour before Rin was able to really begin pushing and trying to help the pups come into the world. And Sesshomaru had been correct, they had three strong and healthy pups. The first was a little boy and once he was out the second two came quickly. Both of the second two were little girls. Rin laid there exhausted, holding their youngest pup. As the first two were born, Kagome quickly cleaned them off and handed them to Sesshomaru. He gently placed them in the onesies that Rin had made for them. He sat on the edge of the bed with his two older pups, next to his mate who was holding their youngest. Kagome couldn't help but be amazed at Sesshomaru. He was being so gentle and actually smiling down at the little ones. She turned and nudged Inuyasha, motioning for him to come in. He stood and walked in, silent in surprise as he saw the same thing. He didn't believe that his brother was capable of the expression he was making down at the newborns. Sesshomaru was smiling, looking down at them with a look of pure love in his eyes. Kagome and Inuyasha felt a little tug on their pants and looked down to see Jaken. He motioned for them to follow him out into the hallway. Closing the door behind them to give the new family some privacy, Jaken began explaining everything that happened with Rin.
       Back in the bedroom, Rin had pulled herself to sit up a little more and be with her family. Sesshomaru had handed the other little girl to Rin, and looked down at his son. The little boy was the spitting image of his father. He was even quiet, his eyes open and looking at his surroundings. His eyes were the exact shade of golden amber and he had the little blue moon symbol in the middle of his forehead. The only difference was the little one's hair, it was as black as midnight. He smiled down at the little boy and looked up at Rin. "Roukimaru." He gently said to Rin, who nodded. He looked over to Rin, "You should name our daughters." He smiled and placed a kiss on her forehead. The middle girl had her fathers silver hair, and their golden eyes, but she had her mother's sun symbol. Looking down at her she gently cooed, "Yuzuki." And turning to their other little girl, they watched her for a moment. The youngest pup was flailing about a little, they could tell she would be an active little one. Her eyes were shut tight, just waving her little arms in the air and kicking her legs. She had silver hair and her father's moon symbol.  Chuckling she looked down at the little girl and dubbed her, "Akemi." Upon hearing the name she had been given, she paused a moment and opened her eyes, looking up at her parents. Sesshomaru instantly recognized them as the big beautiful brown eyes of the little girl that had followed him for so many years. He felt deep down inside how much he loved his pups.
       After a few minutes, Jaken gently knocked on the door and poked his head in. "My Lord?" He asked gently, not sure of the reaction he would get. "Come in, Jaken. Inuyasha. Kagome." Sesshomaru said calmly. Kagome and Inuyasha were shocked, not only that they were invited but also that he had called them by name at all. The three timidly walked in, seeing the new family sitting together. Rin's face was a little sweaty from the effort, but she was sitting in bed, holding her new daughters. Jaken came over before Sesshomaru, who knelt down and showed him his son. "Roukimaru." He told Jaken quietly. And then Sesshomaru did something that surprised everyone. He slowly handed the baby to Jaken. Jaken had never felt so trusted by his Lord before in his entire life. The imp slowly lowered himself to sit on the ground while holding the baby, just incase he tried to squirm. Roukimaru looked up at the imp and cooed gently. "He looks just like you, My Lord." Jaken whispered to Sesshomaru. Looking back down at him he gently spoke. "Hello there, young Lord Roukimaru." He began tearing up as he looked down at the baby.
       Rin called Kagome and Inuyasha over to her. She handed Yuzuki to Kagome who accepted her happily. She began to hand Akemi to Inuyasha. "No.... I don't... Babies..." he tried to refuse. "Come on, Inuyasha. Meet your niece." Kagome nudged him a little. Rin placed the baby in his arms. "Careful, Akemi is a squirmy one. And she's strong." Rin laughed. Inuyasha was holding the little girl as she wiggled about in his hands. Akemi's flailing arms found their way into her Uncle's long white hair and she brought a fist full to her mouth. She began to furiously gum at the small clump of hair. Inuyasha chuckled a little at her antics. "Ha, I like this one. She's feisty." Inuyasha said aloud. Kagome was bouncing the little one she holding,Yuzuki cooing and giggling happily.
       The newly named aunt and uncle stayed for a short while longer before leaving to give the new family their privacy. It wasn't until late that night, when Jaken had retired to bed for the night and Rin was nursing the girls while Sesshomaru rocked his son gently to sleep as he had already had his fill of milk, that she turned to Sesshomaru with a smirk on her face. "So, I thought only the four of us would get to see this side of you. You certainly gave Jaken, Inuyasha and Kagome a new view of you today." She chuckled, leaning back and getting as comfortable as she could as her two daughters continued to drink. He chuckled, looking down at Roukimaru. "I wasn't going to be that person for the pup's first memory of me. So the two of them got a glimpse of this me. I suppose there might as well be someone out there who knows i'm not going to try and immediately eat my own young." He chuckled as he continued looking down at the little one. It was like looking into the past at himself when he was first born. With the exception of the midnight black hair of course. Rin chuckled at his comment. "Was that something I should have been worried about?" "No, I would never do that. Not that I ever thought I'd have pups. My mother probably would have tried to force me just to continue our blood line at some point, but even if I had done that I wouldn't have cared that much. This..." He trailed off, his eyes lingering on each pup and Rin for a few moments each before continuing. "This.... Is different." He smiled gently back down at his children. Rin watched him for a moment and simply felt complete.
       It had been just over year since the pups had been born and they were progressing quickly. They grew much more quickly than human children, but they were still very little ones. They all had a handle on walking for the most part, still having the occasional stumble or missed footing, but that was to be expected. They were also talking pretty well. Yuzuki was quite the Daddy's girl, always following Sesshomaru around the house to the best of her ability. She loved to clamp onto his tail, cuddle up in the softness and ride around with him. It usually didn't last very long before she would fall asleep. She was a slender little thing with her silver hair tied back into a very long braid and she wore a pastel pink kimono with purple flowers on it. Roukimaru also loved his father, always trying to mimic the things he did throughout the day. He had requested a kimono like his, which Rin made him out of one Sesshomaru's that had ripped. But for the most part he was much more independent. Everyone expected him to grow up and be just like his father except Sesshomaru who saw a lot more of Rin's kindness and light-heartedness in him. And lastly, Akemi was definitely showing a lot of signs of being a complete tomboy. She loved to play outside and it was her absolute favorite thing in the world when her uncle would come over to play with her. She loved to pull his hair and nom on his soft dog ears; luckily for Inuyasha, her sharp canine teeth hadn't quite come in yet.
       One night, almost everyone in the house was asleep; Yuzuki had drifted off after snuggling up in her father's tail, Roukimaru and Jaken had both fallen asleep playing make believe and Akemi and Inuyasha had worn each other out in the living room roughhousing. Rin and Sesshomaru gently moved them all to their rooms before retiring to their own. They were getting ready for bed and Rin was looking herself over in the mirror, reflecting on how different she was now than she used to be. Sesshomaru stepped up behind her, watching her inspecting herself. "Is something the matter?" He asked, gently. "No, I was just thinking about how different things are now. How I look now... How different my life is now." She said slowly. Sesshomaru seemed concerned for a moment before he saw a big smile break her contemplative expression. "I'm so... Happy. Everything is better than I ever could have dreamed." She turned to face him and threw her arms around him. He smirked gently as he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her close. "I'm happy too... You have given me so much more than I could ever dream." He said slowly. "You gave me the chance to live longer and be with you, you gave me you." She added. "You gave me our pups, I could never repay you enough for them." He kissed her gently on the forehead.
       Rin blushed a little. "I did... And speaking of which.." She said, her voice barely a whisper. Sesshomaru pulled back, his eyes wide and looking at her. "I think..." She began, as she turned back to the mirror and discarded her kimono. She turned sideways and placed her hands on her stomach, a slight curve visible. Sesshomaru smiled once more and wrapped his arms around her from the back, his hands on her belly. "More?" He asked, his voice hushed, but she could hear his excitement. "Yes, my love. More." She laughed a little as he kissed the top of her head. "I can't wait to meet them."
